NOTW- OPI’s Gargantuan Green Apple (Matte) 0

Helllooo there

A much delayed NOTW post. This one is of OPI’s Matte polish in a green grape/apple type shade.

I have long wanted to try one of the OPI matter polishe but have never come across them in the store. I recently stumbled upon this shade and adored it.

So following this blog post will be pics of the nail polish but now for a mini review:

- quick drying as all matte polishes are
- a tad streaky if not use to the formula; takes a but of practice to get use to using it
- cannot use base or top coats with the polish or ANY matte polishes
- I found this shade lasted a good few days before chipping so I am impressed with OPI’s formula especially since matte polishes don’t have great lasting ability

Hope that helps anyone thinking of getting into matte polishes! The colour selection available in matte shades currently are not huge but slowly companies are expanding their colour range. I think that is a win! :)

Klorane Dry Shampoo Review 2

Hey guys!

Pros

  • So easy to use
  • Travel friendly
  • Soaks up oil, and keeps the hair looking and feeling fresh
  • Lightly fragranced although not too strongly–> but I’ve had some say that the scent really gets to them.

Cons

  • Can cause build up – make sure to wash your hair really well
  • If you have darker hair make sure to really work the product in especially at the roots, otherwise your hair can come off as grey

Those are my Pros and Cons of the moment. What are your thoughts on dry shampoo? Love them, hate them, couldn’t care less? Let me know! :)

Please leave a comment if you have any questions, and thank you for stopping by :]

Sally Hansen Lip Inflation Extreme Review 0

Hey lovelies!

Just a quick video review on Sally Hansen’s Lip gloss/plumper. This is the ‘stronger’ version, hence the extreme. The gloss also comes as the normal Lip Inflation.

I picked this up at Priceline and it retails there for about $20AUD. I don’t think this will be too hard to find though.

Hope this was helpful, and thank you for visiting!

EcoTools Brush Set Review 0

Hey guys!

Just a video providing a quick run down on my thought on the Eco Tools brush set. I covered most of it in the video itself, but I’ll recap my thoughts on the set and include photos of the products after the jump :)

Products I’m Loving 0

Hey all

So this post is all about a current product obsession. The product in question? Burt’s Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Creme.

070_xl_v2

This is what the Burt’s Bees website has to say about this product (www.burtsbees.com.au):

How it works

Give your needy nails a helping hand. Nourish and moisturise nails and cuticles with this intensive, natural treatment. A touch of lemon oil makes your nails smell incredibly clean, healthy and beautiful, naturally.

How to Use It

Gently massage crème into cuticles after washing hands and as needed.

Featured Ingredient

Lemon Oil — Obtained from the fresh peel of the fruit of the Citrus Lemon tree, this oil is known for its astringent and anti-irritant qualities.

I have had this product for quite a while now and purchased it in a gift pack around Christmas time. I had heard a lot about Burt’s Bees but had never tried any of the products, so this was a great opportunity to try about 7 of there products and grab a cute yellow, bee printed makeup bag at the same time.

The gift pack came with hand creme, foot cream, a replenishing lip balm, cuticle creme and a couple othher goodies. Most of which I’m yet to try. I have tried the Replenishing Lip Balm and adore it.

Review:

Initial reaction to the product was a reaction to the scent. Being a lemon based cuticle treatment it smells of citrus. It is nothing too overpowering and is definitely a refreshing scent. The scent of these reminds me greatly of Badger Balm’s Lemongrass and Ginger balm, except without the ginger scent.

It is mild yellow in colour, and has a very smooth light consistency.

I was extremely sceptical about this product simply because I do not like having product on my hand, and this product’s title included the word ‘butter’. I quickly thought that the product would be thick and heavy. That is not at all the case.

As the instructions say, I massage it into my cuticles- a tiny bit goes quite a long way- and find it absorbs almost immediately leaving only the slightest film on my cuticles. After using it twice I could see a drastic improvement. Healthy looking cuticles with no signs of cracking.

Definitely a two-thumbs up product! :)

My only downside with this is the packaging. It is so cute in the tin, but can be quite difficult to open. My advice? Don’t moisturise your hands then immediately try to open the tin. Open the tin first. It will save you a lot of hassle :)

I am now looking forward to testing out the Burt’s Bees hand lotion. Hopefully that will live up to expectations.

Have fantastic days everyone!
